JERRY LEWIS

The team of Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin made numerous appearances in the early days of live television and film, and most of Lewis’ career was in films. It was not until 1962 that Jerry Lewis was offered “The Wacky World of Jerry Lewis,” a television variety hour on ABC. It was a lavish, big-budget production but only lasted 13 weeks. Lewis was offered another variety show on NBC four years later, which ran for one season. Jerry Lewis is most famous on television for hosting the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s Telethon from 1952 to 2011.
